We are pleased to announce our newest collaboration with SUNN O))) & KGR HARMONY—the limited–edition HalfLife Fer. The HalfLife Fer features the same octave fuzz circuit as the Life Pedal V3, housed in a cast iron enclosure made using a centuries-old technique known as Nanbu-tekki (南部鉄器). Nanbu-tekki enclosures represent a unique balance of traditional Japanese craft with the best of modern design. Cast by hand at Oitomi Ironworks in Oshu City, a forge that has operated since 1848.
:::: UPDATE : SOLD OUT IN 100 MINUTES ::::
:::: THANK YOU EVERYONE ::::

Traditionally used to make items as varied as teapots and hand guards for swords, Keijiro Fukushima has combined the technique with EarthQuaker’s innovative circuit design, guided by SUNN O)))‘s finely-tuned sense of creating inspiring, musical tone and aesthetics. This collaboration is unique; contemporary, yet deeply rooted in traditional mastery.

The rich patina of the HalfLife Fer is unique to each pedal, and forged by raw nature. The patina was developed by Stephen O’Malley & Keijiro Fukushima in honourable tribute of Richard Serra.

The HalfLife Fer was available via SUNN O)))‘s online store in a limited edition of 200 copies. The exclusive packaging features an embroidered patch with the Highly Irradiated Rat drawing by Savage Pencil in black and white, and an o-card with photography by Kali Malone. Art Direction by Stephen O’Malley.
